Childress Women's Council

Childress Women's Council is proud to be able to honor a young woman graduating from Childress High School each year with a $1000.00 scholarship!

Rachel Hadfield, is this year's recipient of the $1000.00 scholarship given by Childress Women's Council.  Rachel is valedictorian of her class.  She is the daughter of Keith and Sarah Loter.  Rachel plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue a degree in architecture.  She was nominated as Miss CHS, Best All-Around, Best Dressed, Class Favorite, and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She was active in FCA, FCCLA, Student Council, UIL and the Speech Club.  She played basketball, golf, softball, volleyball, ran cross-country and was a cheerleader.  She's a member of FUMC and participated in See You at the Pole, Vacation Bible School and the Agape Thanksgiving Dinner.  Congratulations Rachel!

If you are a Childress Women's Council member you can serve on the committee that selects a young woman to receive our $1000.00 scholarship.  Ask any board member for more information about serving on the scholarship committee or any of the other committees that might be of interest to you.
