Childress Women's Council

Childress Women's Council is enjoying a great 2008!  We have many projects and events planned.  You can look forward to more Beautiful Yard awards to be given, a Dog Show on the 4th of July, The Garden Tour, Christmas Tour of Homes, Christmas All-Business Open House,  Hometown Christmas Shirts and much more!

What We Do

Childress Women's Council has two primary goals.  Those goals are to help in the beautification of Childress and to promote local businesses.  We have fundraisers to help aid in the expenses associated with these goals as well as awarding a scholarship to a female Childress High School graduating senior each year.

Here's a few other things that we do:

• We give the award for Business Woman of the Year.
• We provide the upkeep and maintenance for Gazebo Park in downtown Childress. 
• We promote the businesses of our members and of all local businesses.  We shop at home!

Come join us!

We extend a standing invitation to all local women to be our guest and attend a meeting and to join our organization.  We are involved in many great projects and have a lot of fun interacting with one another.  We would love to have you come be our guest for lunch.  We meet at Aunt Susan's Kitchen, downtown at 241 Main Street, for lunch every third Tuesday of the month.  This year we are adding evening meetings on a quarterly basis to better meet the needs of many of our members who cannot attend lunch meetings.  We have also added a website this year and are very excited about all of the possibilities this will open up!  We hope to see you soon!
