Childress Women's Council

We think that all Childress women are special but here's a few that deserve some extra special recognition.

Rachel Hadfield, is this year's recipient of the $1000.00 scholarship given by Childress Women's Council.  Rachel is valedictorian of her class.  She is the daughter of Keith and Sarah Loter.  Rachel plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue a degree in architecture.  She was nominated as Miss CHS, Best All-Around, Best Dressed, Class Favorite, and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She was active in FCA, FCCLA, Student Council, UIL and the Speech Club.  She played basketball, golf, softball, volleyball, ran cross-country and was a cheerleader.  She's a member of FUMC and participated in See You at the Pole, Vacation Bible School and the Agape Thanksgiving Dinner.

STATE CHAMPS!  Congratulations to Hollee Cornish, Savanna Keys, Bre'Ann Cano, and Vicky Flemons who won gold in the 800 Relay at the State Track Meet.  They are the first girls in Childress history to be State Champions!  Congratulations to these outstanding young ladies on their accomplishment!  We are so proud of you!

Holly Holcomb was the recipient of the Childress Women's Council's Business Woman of the Year Award!
